Heat shrink banding uses a fiber-reinforced polyethylene heat shrink band as the inner layer and a heat shrink tube as the outer layer. The inner surface of the heat shrink tube is coated with hot melt adhesive. After heating, the adjacent pipe ends are bonded and clamped together to form an integral connection.
