Weight and density per unit area of polyethylene anticorrosion tape

It is known that polyethylene anti-corrosion tape is composed of polyethylene substrate and butyl rubber adhesive.
Its weight per unit area is determined by the quality and density of the raw materials selected during manufacturing. The density of the substrate made of pure polyethylene is as low as 0.94, while that of recycled polyethylene is much higher and difficult to determine.
The density of the adhesive made from high-quality butyl rubber and rubber fillers is no more than 1.30. If recycled butyl rubber and excessive fillers are used, the density will increase significantly. According to the SY/T0414-2007 standard, the weight per unit area of high-quality polyethylene adhesive tape should not exceed 1.10, considering the thickness ratio of the substrate and adhesive layer.
Based on the above factors and parameters, for example: a 0.50mm thick polyethylene adhesive tape weighs 0.50 X 1.10 = 0.55kg per square meter.
